Our brokers assist alternative/renewable energy and clean technology companies in managing their risks through various risk transfer and/or mitigation methods. Our firm is quite active in this space and we apply a methodical and consultative approach in interactions with our clients. We work with start-ups as well as mature companies and help them through issues like mergers, acquisitions, IPO’s and exits. Emerging companies sometimes have difficulties finding a broker who is technically proficient and willing to do the work necessary as premiums and associated commissions are typically quite small for relatively new ventures. Our objective is to nurture long-term relationships with our clients by being professional, knowledgeable and responsive. Our typical client comes on board in the early stages of development and we endeavor to educate and protect them from the myriad of risk issues they face going forward. As we have chosen to specialize in this area, we are well versed with regard to issues like: intellectual property, product liability, directors & officers and employment practices liability, environment liability, mergers & acquisitions, energy security, regulatory matters, bonding programs, product warranty, etc.
