A relatively new addition to the leadership team of Mason & Mason, CFO Jennifer Howard has a unique perspective on the agency: She originally was a client in her capacity as controller for Cambridge-based Flagship Ventures, an entrepreneurship and venture capital firm, and when she served as controller and director of operations for Joule Unlimited, a venture-backed clean energy start-up company.
“Mason & Mason was my go-to company whenever we needed insurance,” she explains. “Their understanding of our highly specialized needs combined with their professionalism made my job much easier. I knew I could trust them to make sure we had the right coverage at a fair price. Prior to working in the venture capital industry, Jennifer served as controller for Numeric Investors, a $4 billion quantitative investment management firm specializing in the management of domestic and international equity portfolios, and as a senior accountant at Wolf & Company, one of New England’s largest regional CPA firms.
