About Our Account Executive Positions
Account Executives develop new clients through social and trade group networking, telemarketing, and other marketing efforts. But, the job is about much more than just sales. After insurance and risk management professional training and developing expertise in the particular industries served by the firm, Account Executives are responsible for designing insurance programs for the firm’s clients. This means understanding the client’s business and arranging insurance policies that provide the right balance of cost, coverage and financial security. Account Executive openings include:
Emerging Life Science & Technology
This Account Executive position is responsible for developing new clients in the Life Science and Technology sectors, principally start-up and early stage venture funded companies. Sales will be generated by telephone and Internet marketing campaigns direct to these companies and the community of investors; professional managers; and legal and financial advisory service firms that serve this industry segment. You’ll develop insurance options for these companies using principally proprietary on-line rating and policy issuance systems. You’ll present options and make recommendations. You’ll be “hands on” through the entire insurance brokerage process, doing everything from helping a client understand the available insurance options to accuracy checking insurance policies prior to delivery.
REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of five years of professional service experience is required. A four year college degree is preferred. While insurance knowledge helpful, it’s not required. The successful candidate will be eligible to enroll in the various professional education programs supported by the firm (e.g. www.techassure.com, www.scic.com) Finance or legal experience is helpful, but not required. You’ll need an aptitude for sales and the ability to communicate well over the telephone and through various Internet media (e.g. “go-to-meeting” web presentations, blog marketing, etc.).
